Citypress is the best agency headquartered outside London
17th September 2020

We’ve been recognised as the best agency headquartered outside London at the 2018 PRWeek Awards, the most prestigious awards in the PR and comms sector.
The accolade comes after a year of success when we continued to climb the PRWeek UK Top 150 and were named one of the Sunday Times 100 Best Small Companies to Work For.
This is what PRWeek had to say after our latest win:
Any agency that wins gold in PRWeek’s Best Places to Work Awards two years running must be doing something right.
Citypress says its geographical footprint based in Manchester, it has offices in five UK cities means it can be “agnostic“ about where its talent is; people can join in any location and move between offices, which aids recruitment.
The firm is lauded for its culture, which promotes flexibility, diversity and wellbeing. Fourteen of its 92 employees work flexibly, the senior leadership team is 70 per cent women, and its team grew by 17 per cent in the past year.
Quarterly ‘wellbeing days’, and ‘balance days’ where everyone is encouraged to take a day a month to work away from their desk are offered, and the agency has three Mental Health First Aiders.
Innovations have focused on widening its specialist services, adding strategic media comms, social media, creative studio, and research and analytics teams.
In a stellar 2017, the agency brought in over £1m of new revenue. Campaign achievements included Coca-Cola’s ‘ParkLives’, encouraging participation in outdoor activities; and developing a multichannel social-media campaign to announce Lloyds Banking Group’s three-year strategy, reaching more than 8.3 million, with over 370,000 video views.
Want to join the Citypress team? We’re currently looking for creative, ambitious and entrepreneurial people in Manchester.
